Students must complete 24 weeks of Level II fieldwork within 18 months following completion of the didactic portion of the program. - A high school diploma or GED
- A minimum cumulative high school GPA of 2.5 or higher, or college credits with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher (if applicable)
- A grade of C or better and a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher in all prerequisite courses
To become a St. Catherine University OTA student, you must have:
- For students entering the OT field.
- 80% online, 20% onsite labs in Texas (6 weekends throughout the course of one year).
- Prepares you to sit for the NBCOT® exam.
- Can be completed in as few as 16 months.
Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) Program – Associate Degree
Admissions Requirements
- NBCOT Certification
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 overall for a bachelor’s or master’s degree (2.7 or higher considered holistically)
To become a St. Catherine University OT bridge direct entry program student, you must have:
St. Kate’s OTA graduates with a bachelor’s degree and one year of experience receive automatic provisional admission.
- For currently certified OTAs with a bachelor’s degree.
- Primarily online with a weekend lab in Texas for the first three semesters.
- Earn your MAOT in as few as 20 months.
- Designed to expand your clinical autonomy and scope of practice.
Direct Entry Pathway
Occupational Therapy (OT) Bridge Program – Master of Arts in Occupational Therapy (MAOT)
Admissions Requirements
- Graduated from an OTA program
- Initial or current NBCOT Certification
- 2.7 Cumulative GPA from undergrad coursework
To become a St. Catherine University Pre OT-Bridge Track student, you must have:
*Additional graduate application requirements will include a Resume and Recommendation at the time of application. 1 year of work experience must be obtained by the start of graduate coursework.
- For currently certified OTAs without a bachelor’s degree.
- 44 credits count toward both your Applied Health Science bachelor’s degree and the MAOT.
- Pre-professional coursework is fully online.
- Graduate coursework is primarily online with a weekend lab in Texas for the first three semesters.
- Earn your MAOT in as few as 7 semesters. Work with an admissions counselor to determine your timeline.
